The MCA of Ohio Convention and Trade Show took place from Sept. 22 to Sept. 23, and was a great success! One great highlight for contractors was the ability to discuss issues and concerns with our legislators.
Some of the great speakers and topics included:
- Keynote speaker Kwame Christian, Director of the American Negotiation Institute, who spoke about the difficulty and solutions in difficult negotiations.
- Mike Born, from Shumaker, discussed how consumer demands and shareholder activism are pushing companies to increasingly respond to expectations for businesses to address their CO2 footprint, environmental justice and related social responsibilities.
- Kevin Doughtery from SMACNA lead several breakout sessions for Field Leaders and Project Managers.
- Josh Sanders and Stan Kolbe of Calfee, Halter and Griswold led a Legislator Keynote that revolved around the midterm elections and the key races, key impacts and key takeaways for our business.
