Honoring the Legacy of Tom Wanner

Nov 5, 2025

The board room at MAPIC was officially dedicated to the memory of former Executive Director Tom Wanner, a figure whose leadership, dedication and vision left an indelible mark on the organization.

The Board Room was formally named the “Thomas J. Wanner Board Room.” Surrounded by friends, family and colleagues, Tom’s legacy was celebrated with a tribute that spoke volumes about the profound impact he had on those around him.

The dedication included his wife, Sue Wanner, and their daughters, Tina and Betsy. Their presence, along with the attendance of many board members and friends, highlighted the deep respect and affection held for Tom both personally and professionally. A lasting tribute, the dedication of the boardroom is not just a tribute to Tom Wanner’s role within MAPIC, but also a symbol of the values he embodied: integrity, dedication and a deep commitment to creating connections.

His family, who were central to his life, expressed their gratitude for the recognition and shared how meaningful it was to see Tom’s work live on in such a significant way. Tom’s impact will continue to resonate within MAPIC and beyond. As the boardroom stands as a lasting tribute to his memory, it will serve as a place where decisions are made, relationships are fostered and the values Tom upheld continue to shape the future of the industry.
