Exciting News from MCI/CPI

Nov 11, 2025

We are thrilled to announce a new initiative aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of our valued contractors. MCI/CPI is proud to reimburse 75% of the cost of one Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to all of our contractors.

We are also reimbursing 50% of the cost of a four-gas air monitor (confined space monitor).

Why AEDs Matter

  • Life Saving Equipment: AEDs are crucial in emergencies, significantly increasing the chances of survival during sudden cardiac arrest.
  • Enhanced Safety: By equipping our contractors with AEDs we are taking a proactive step towards ensuring a safer working environment.
  • Peace of Mind: Knowing that these life saving devices are readily available provides peace of mind to both our contractors and their families.

Why Confined Space Air Monitors Matter

  • Safety: Confined spaces often have poor ventilation, which can lead to hazardous conditions such as oxygen deficiency, toxic gas accumulation, and combustible atmospheres. Continuous air monitoring helps detect these dangers in real-time, allowing workers to take immediate action to prevent accidents.
  • Compliance: Contractors must adhere to OSHA regulations, which mandate air monitoring in confined spaces to ensure safe working conditions. Compliance with these standards helps avoid legal repercussions and ensures best practices are followed.
  • Preventing Fatalities: Many confined space fatalities are due to atmospheric hazards like asphyxiation or exposure to toxic gasses. Air monitors provide critical data that can prevent such tragedies by alerting workers to dangerous changes in the environment.

How It Works

  1. You purchase the AED and/or confined space air monitor.
  2. Check your email for the July newsletter, which contains a link to an associate member of MCA of America for special pricing. Purchase confined space air monitor from the supplier of your choice.
  3. Submit your invoice to smann@mapic.org for reimbursement.
  4. Have employees trained. We offer free First Aid/CPR/AED classes.

Join us in celebrating this important step towards a safer future. Together we can make a difference!
