We are aware of increased OSHA activity currently happening. This is the time of year that OSHA is conducting an unusual amount of inspections on construction projects, regarded as a “Blitz”. These inspections are random based on Dodge Reports (a data base of active construction projects).
Be prepared for OSHA’s presence on your site.
Some ways you can be prepared are:
- Do safety inspections of your job sites. Identify and fix any unsafe conditions.
- Ensure required training is completed and documented.
- Enforce written disciplinary program.
- Ensure workers have proper safety equipment and it is inspected.
- Prepare workers for inspection.
